The Opening Doors Project is a small organization with a big mission: to amplify voices of color and advance interracial  conversations about race through the arts.

Our Concert + Conversation series pairs live music and authentic conversations about race for a one-of-a-kind performance experience. The series began online in 2021, showcasing nationally known talent like Dom Flemons, Rissi Palmer, Dan and Claudia Zanes, and Vance Gilbert. Today, we bring our shows to venues throughout the Greater Boston area. Learn more HERE.

Veteran musicians and storytelling troubadours Reggie Harris and Alastair Moock rely on their years-old friendship to engage audiences of all ages in open and honest musical conversations about race. Their Race and Song program has toured all around the country — to theaters, arts centers, congregations, libraries, senior centers, and many, many schools. Learn more HERE.

Opening Doors was founded in 2021 by Alastair Moock and Stacey Babb. Our programs are rooted in the conviction that candid conversation can touch people’s minds, and great music can touch people’s hearts. Learn more HERE.

Kemp HarrisBoth our Concert + Conversation Series and our Education Programs for all ages are available for booking by performance venues, schools, and civic-minded businesses and organizations everywhere. Learn more HERE.
